Beyond Hello · Illinois medical cannabis. A patient can buy up to 2.5 ounces (70.87 grams) in any rolling 14 days. Every product counts as a number of grams of flower, and that number comes off the patient’s balance.

Infused pre-rolls, infused flower and Moon Rocks count as flower, by weight. The added concentrate does not change how much they take off.
Flower and pre-rolls take off their weight. Vape and concentrate take off 2.66 grams for each gram. Edibles, drinks, tinctures and topicals take off 0.3327 grams for each 100 milligrams of THC, shown as 0.33. Metrc calculates to four decimal places, so its number can differ from this page by a hundredth.
The products and suggestions come from the store’s menu at the time shown at the top. If the menu cannot load, the page uses standard Illinois package sizes and says so.
Some patients have a limit above 2.5 ounces. Always enter the grams available from Metrc.
Tick this for a patient under 18. Nothing smoked or vaped can be sold for them: no flower, pre-rolls, carts, disposables or concentrates for dabbing. The page will only offer edibles, drinks, tinctures and topicals. Clearing the basket unticks it.

Without the page: divide the grams available by 2.66 and round down for 1 g carts. Multiply the grams available by 3 and round down for 100 mg packages; this never gives more than fits.

Registry and applicationsIllinois Department of Public Health. Patients apply online and manage their own account.
Who runs whatThe Department of Public Health runs the patient registry. The Department of Financial and Professional Regulation licenses the dispensary. A dispensary cannot change a patient’s registration status.
Staff may explain the steps. The patient enters their own information and their own password. Never ask a patient for a password, a security answer or a one-time code.
2.5 ounces, which is 70.87 grams counted as flower, in any rolling 14 days. One limit covers every product.
Each purchase becomes available again 14 days after that purchase. The whole balance does not reset on one date.
A certifying health care professional can request a waiver from the Department of Public Health for a limit above 2.5 ounces. The dispensary cannot raise it.
Patients cannot look up their balance themselves. They have to ask at the counter.
The shelf price is identical. The difference is tax, not a discount and not a promotion.

Potency does not change what a patient pays. The 10, 20 and 25 percent tiers are the adult use excise tax. A patient pays the same rate on a high-THC concentrate as on a low-dose edible.
If asked for an exact rate, give the rate for this store or point at the receipt. Rates vary by address.
Do not say a product will treat a condition, and do not recommend a product for a condition. Describe what is in a product and what people come back for. Send clinical questions to the patient’s certifying provider.
Do not guess why a registration is not showing as active. Point the patient to the program phone line.
